Customising the Notification Centre

With the iOS 5 operating system everything runs more smoothly in the notification centre. With the older iphone4 when an alert came onto your screen it would hide what you were working on behind a big blue rectangle which was more than annoying!
Now the smaller banner gently emerges across the top of the display without being too obtrusive. You can also customise what you want to receive and in what order, whether it is sorted by type of alert or time of arrival at your phone, it is your choice. If you want you can use the free and unlimited imessage service to other iphones, ipads or ipod touches. On these you can send videos, contacts, group messages, photos etc, then you can receive delivery confirmation receipts for them as well.
When we are talking about what we want to use in the notification centre there is amongst others, a fantastic “reminders” app. If you want to use it you can set it to remind you to do things in a variety of ways. You can set it to remind you to do something “When I leave work” not just “at five o clock”, but whenever that happens! The software inside the phone communicates with the navigational facility to deliver your message correctly. How many times have you said “I must remember to collect that when I leave here” or asked someone else to remind you, only for you both to forget?
