The touchscreen technology in the new iphones makes them so easy to use. There is the home button below the screen for turning on the iphone and then it is all about the display icons. There is an icon for each function which simply needs tapping to bring it to life. Then it's a question of the individual functions of each app, if it's an ibook you can scroll from page to page, if it's an imovie you can play and edit according to the prompts. The wonderful thing is that the screen will receive and translate your physical prompts. For photos you can tap to focus or grab with two fingers in an opening movement to make that part of the picture larger. It is all based on electrically sensitive layers with buffering layers in between through which the finger tip pressure creates a signal which can not be replicated by using a pen or other types of pointer.
